Life brings change, and most times it is positive in the end. While we are making the transition, change can feel uncomfortable and we can wish just to go back to how things were, but rarely is that possible. I hope that through the wisdom of being through change enough times, we eventually look forward to change and welcome its coming.
Our family is a part of two homeschool groups: a secular, academically focused co-op, and a Muslim social/community focused group. It can be hard to juggle both groups at times, but both bring value to our family, and warrant the schedule juggle it entails to be part of both. I am a co-leader for both groups.
We are now at a time of big change with the secular group in that our rent will be increasing significantly, sparking new vigor in the hunt for the perfect space for our growing co-op. We love our current space for many reasons, but we are outgrowing the space so this is the push we need to get all hands on deck to look for something else we can afford.
Our Muslim group is also looking for another space so we can be more central in the metro. Our current space we have been renting is great for the families that already commit to coming, but we haven’t been able to gain traction in welcoming new families where we are located.
The hunt is on!
We know of a perfect place for both groups, but it has been out of our price range in the past. In sha Allah things have changed and we can afford it now. We can hope!
