Enjoy Your Eid

Enjoy Your Eid

An early Eid Mubarak! I hope you have learned more about Hajj this year and benefited from these blessed days. We are taking the full week off from school to celebrate Eid, relax, and get caught up (as needed), in sha Allah. Care Bear will be using this time to get herself all caught up so we can start fresh the following week with no past due assignments. That will be a breath of fresh air, I’m sure!

In sha Allah we’ll be sharing some tidbits of our Eid on Instagram. Please join me, and tag me to share your own Eid celebrations at @middlewaymom. I look forward to sharing my Eid with all of you!

Since Eid al-Adha has been at the tail end of the calendar year since I became Muslim six and a half years ago, it acts as a spark where I start thinking about how we want our lives to shape up. What are our goals, plans and ideas for the future?

We have a lot of changes coming up, in sha Allah. Namely, we are hoping to move to a new home in the coming year or two. That brings a lot of focus on saving for a down payment, searching halal financing companies to find a good fit, and of course, getting ready for the move itself. Not only do we need to move out of our existing home, but also find a renter and get them settled as well. Certainly, it will be an adventure.

The little people in our home are changing and growing each day, and bring about new opportunities. Little Miss is showing much more interest in school-type things, and Tulip is getting old enough that I can go on outings and not have to worry about taking breaks every hour, on the hour, for diaper changes, nursing, and general comforting. Alhamdulilah.

In sha Allah, enjoy your Eid, share it with us, and hug your family just a little tighter.
