In the midwest, it is pretty much a tradition in the autumn to go to an apple orchard, pick your own apples, and pay extravagant prices on things like jams, honey butter, and apple salsa. Many places have hay rides around the orchard, corn or hay mazes, and other activities for the family.
This past Tuesday, as you probably already know, we went with our Muslim homeschool group to an apple orchard. We are currently a fairly small group of about 5 families that come on a regular basis. We had three families that came to the orchard, which was still a lot of fun for the kids as each of them has a friend in one of the three families, alhamdulilah!
Here’s our day in pictures (from my phone camera… we aren’t rich enough to get a DSLR at this point, hehe):
MashaAllah you all look like you had a fun day out at the orchard! Thanks for sharing your day out.
Thanks for stopping by! Yes, we had a great day, and inshaAllah there will be many more to come.
Hi, Middlewaymom, I have just release the answer to my quiz and thought you might like to have a read. I mentioned your blog BTW since you kept the secret for us. Have fun.
Thanks! It’s so fun to read about your travels, and the discoveries along the way. I look forward to reading more.
