Aligning with my 2016 focus, I’m gobbling up any and all information in reference to greener living and making things by hand. I know I’m not the only one that’s trying to learn how to do things the old fashioned way.
Whether it’s so you see homemaking as a lost art, or so you aren’t as reliant on the supermarket for every single food item, or if you are trying to save a few bucks, there is a lot of information out there to guide you to cleaner, leaner, living. Sometimes, it’s hard to find the best information by people who have actually been there and done that.
Okay, I’m going to admit that I’m terrible at online challenges, but I sign up for them anyway. Sure, I take a month to do a one-week challenge, and a clean-eating challenge might last as long as I don’t see any frosting coated sugar cookies (I start right back as soon as I’m done, though!), but it’s still a good kick in the pants to get moving in the right direction and being more mindful of how I use my time and energy.
I’m going to give the 15 Day Back to Basics Living Challenge a go and I’d love for you all to join me!
The challenge starts TODAY!
We’ll get daily emails about cooking from scratch, green living, making your own soap, natural remedies, simple living, and all that jazz. There are even homeschooling resources (because all us homeschoolers are crunchy folks, right?)
I already signed up and got the Quick Start Guide, so I’m combing over that to get ideas for our next step. We already do at least half of what’s suggested, and it is serving as a great reminder for what I can do next, with lots of tips to get on the right track.
If you’re not interested in the 15 Day Challenge, but you want to up your game on the crunchy front, take a look at the upcoming Back to Basics bundle (review coming up on the blog very soon, in sha Allah). It’s starting soon, so get on the list to be notified when the sale begins!
