It seems everyone is on Pinterest now, including my teen daughter (finally!). Sometimes you find some gems, but it is getting harder to wade through the meh-boards to find them. So, while I’m not yet a super-pinner, I present to you:
My Top 5 Helpful and Encouraging Pinterest Boards
Homeschool
This is my most general board and has the most pins. Many of the pins are also pinned to other boards, but if you’re looking for something that’s all encompassing for the homeschool family, this is the board to follow. Topics range from preschool to high school, methods to schedules, and parenting to getting time for yourself.

College in High School
Earning college credit during the high school years has quickly become our “thing.” It is a great motivator for my teen, and it keeps the high school drive alive. It was a big learning curve to figure out what resources were available for this journey we are on, and I share many of those resources on this board. Since it is such a niche topic, it isn’t a highly active board, but keep watch for some gems that come through when I find them.

Islam for Kids
I’m currently looking for contributors for this group board. I would love for this board to become a valuable resource to the community, in sha Allah. Right now I pin items I find for my own kids, and posts here on Middle Way Mom. As I’m churning through the process of developing a plan for Little Miss and Tulip, I’m pinning resources and ideas on this board. Sometimes I stumble across some nearly hidden websites, and this is the place I share it!

Islam
I love this board just to come for encouragement, beautiful pictures, and reminders of my deen (religion/way of life). When I need a breath of fresh air, I can read through the old pins and find a bit of quiet in myself to push through to the rest of the day. I follow a lot of other pinners just so I can add to this board from time to time, so don’t miss out, and let Pinterest be a respite for you, too! Pinterest doesn’t just have to be for recipes, DIY, and organization.

Preschool
Middle Way Mom touches on preschool lightly (though, the younger years will likely come more to the forefront as my teen finishes up her homeschooling journey), but it’s definitely a big focus in our home. I love this board to file away ideas that we can use at home, or with our homeschool group at the mosque, so you’ll find both group and at-home activities. Preschool is easy to find on Pinterest, but I’ve found that around certain holidays, Pinterest fills up with everything for that holiday – most of which we do not celebrate. So, you may be pleased to find there are very few holiday-centered activities on the board, and instead timeless, all-year activities.
