The following is a review in which I received one subscription box for free and was compensated for my time to compile a review. All opinions are my own, and my continued subscription with Kiwi Crate is because I honestly think Kiwi Crate is amazing.
Our house can be busy. Really busy. I feel like I’m always ignoring some task in order to take care of another, normally more urgent task. I’ve started to collect preschool craft books with the idea that I’ll start doing them with Aamina.
You know how many kids crafts I’ve planned, setup, and completed with Aamina ever? One.
Yep. Life gets in the way. Just about everything is a higher priority than doing crafts with my preschooler, but what I struggle with is she loves to do them! She loves to show Hubby what she made when he comes home from work. She loves to feel like she created something. She was a big kid, and she did something really cool, like making a rain stick, or rocket ship, or backpack.
Special time with sister
My favorite part since we’ve started our subscription with Kiwi Crate? Aamina and Kira bond as they do the activity together. With nearly an 11 year gap between them, I need to be intentional with bringing them together. I’ve done some of the crafts with Aamina, but I already have lots of bonding time with her. My relationship with Aamina is really strong, alhamdulilah (Praise God). How cool is it that I can hand over an activity to another family member, and they can have those special moments? Beyond the kids crafts, there’s also a fun activity book that goes along with the theme for that month, whether it’s camping, flight, rainforest, etc. You can keep working from stuff in the box for a week if you use everything!
Coming up for the next three months? A time travel theme!! Castles and catapults, Wild West, and Dinosaurs!
Subscription for preggo mom break time
My body is like clockwork; 3pm rolls around and I become a sloth. It’s been this way with nearly all of my pregnancies, so I’m learning to just roll with it. Since Kira happily takes the reigns to work on Aamina’s Kiwi Crate box, I don’t have to feel guilty taking a break in the middle of the day to just recharge. Or even when Kira’s not home and Aamina is begging me to open her box (the green box is well known in our house after only three shipments), it’s still something I can push through because everything is there! Literally, I get to open the box and go. My sloth (ehem, recharge) status need not be disrupted, and Aamina’s thrilled to have created something of her own.
Kiwi Crate includes everything!
I’d like to be able to say that getting supplies for crafts in a timely manner is the fault of being pregnant, but if I’m being honest, it’s like this all the time. I don’t like going shopping for miscellaneous stuff, so usually crafts that require a trip get delayed, or skipped entirely. Kiwi Crate includes everything you need to make the crafts; the first shipment even came with a pair of scissors, and another project came with its own glue stick.
Highlight of the week
Aamina honestly treasures the crafts she’s made from her Kiwi Crate. Her first one, a campfire, went with her everywhere. She used it as a night light until the battery died on her, and she told everyone she ran into that she made a campfire with her sister. After that experience, I started telling everyone about Kiwi Crate the and the incredible crafts they send, right to your door.
I can honestly and truly tell you, Kiwi Crate brings the benefits of making kids crafts with your child to busy families with ease. Whether it’s an older sibling working with the child, or the parent themselves, it’s so easy to just pick it up and go. No prep, no planning, no trips to the store.
Just open the box and make some memories.

I love that campfire! I’ve been blessed with four very creative kids, so as long as I keep craft supplies around, they happily plan and execute their own projects. Still, those kits look tempting!
